Hopefully tomorrow is the day I don't have to hear about Briere anymore as well.
Just sent an email and tweet to Eugene Melnyk. Means nothing in the end, but season ticket holders do have a tiny tiny bit of say and influence. Basically just told him I didn't care what term or money Alfredsson was looking for - Alfie isn't gonna be asking for something ludicrous, so sign him or I will get a refund on my season tickets.
Ya, he might be asking for 6 million a year and also assurances of other moves to improve the team, but deal with that throughout the season, get Alfie locked up now.
Haha.

Hopefully tomorrow is the day I don't have to hear about Briere anymore as well.
All of this could have been avoided by simply saying "I am of the opinion that Briere will be a Senator," instead of phrasing things like your opinions are on par with Scripture.
Seriously, you often have good things to say but act like every belief you hold is absolute truth (ie Phill Kessel, Jarome Iginla etc).
Anyway, Briere still hasn't made up his mind yet, and as per this assumed short-list of three teams, I don't believe anything till it is signed and sealed.
Maybe I am wrong and Bryan Murray does like Briere as a player, I know I certainly don't want him in Ottawa.
I'm going to the Season Ticket Holder Event on Saturday night. If anyone wants the 2 extra "tickets" I have, let me know.

#Sens coach Paul MacLean signs three-year contract extension.
Beautiful. Thanks Shakedown.
Love how much confidence he instills in his players. Unless you are Jim O'Brien, I can't imagine any of the current Sens not liking MacLeans messages. Gonna be interesting to see what happens to the leadership of this group when Alfie leaves/retires and I think MacLean is gonna be instrumental in making it as seamless as possible after losing God.
It's a good day.

GM Murray just got done saying negotiations with Alfie have never been better and said he had no idea why these stories that are out there got started. All he is waiting for is an amount of money that Alfie wants. A deal will be done.
Also said David Clarkson is a target and they are going hard after him. Fits their style that they have and want in Ottawa. Melnyk has given Murray the green light to go get a free agent and Melnyk knows who the target(s) are. Clarkson had a full recruiting day in Ottawa and the Sens gave their best pitch. Clarkson is good friends with Spezza and has lots of connections on the team already and in the area.
Interview is still in progress....

Big Ev - who do you see stepping up behind Karlsson in terms of D production in both the short-term (next year) and long-term (anything after next). Thanks, bro.
