Help with some goofy goalie rules and Brodeur?

Our league has really goofy goalie rules:
1. We can only roster two goalies at any given time (IR being the exception).
2. We only start one goalie per night.
3. There is a two game minimum for the week.
4. Only three stats: W, Sv% and SO


My question surrounds Marty Brodeur. In all seriousness, with the above rules, how long can I afford to keep him on my team? I just concluded a trade that allowed me to scoop up Anderson and stash him on IR. I don't HAVE to activate him, but rolling with Thomas only is making is very difficult to get any points.

Do I wait and see if there is a coaching change soon and gauge how the team responds? Give him until Christmas/New Year? I have only been able to listen to the radio broadcast of NJ games, but it sounds like the life has been sucked out of them as a team.

I would see if you can get anything in a trade and if not drop him and roll with Thomas and Anderson. I never thought I would advocate dropping Marty but I just did in your case. With the nagging injury and his team and Anderson to fill in for him I think you can do this.

Is it worth waiting to see if Lou makes a coaching move? Perfect world, Marty would go on IR and I could let him stay there until he has mended. Remember how good he was once he came back last time?

Lehtonen, Hiller, Ward and Rask are available on our FA due to these silly rules. Any of these guys better than Anderson?
