I give Ilya Kovalchuk, Rick Nash, Zach Bogosian and Kari Lehtonen
Here is my take, I want Perry and Kane.
My 6 starting forwards ( sub in Kane, Perry for Kovy and Nash) I like how it looks with Kane and Perry alot more)
I have Halak as my starting goalie ( we only use 1 G) Lehtonen is a backup.
I like Kane/ Perry better than I like Kovy / Nash.
obviously Bogosian is the long term upgrade over Bieska.
getting Mason in the deal, I dont care much about at all, will never start for me as I have Conklin at the ready if Halak goes down.

Pretty even trade I think. I think you are giving up more total value, but I can see where you are focusing on the principle of consolidation in the deal. If you buy that Perry and Kane are better to own than Kovalchuk and Nash, then the deal makes sense. I agree with you on your preference - it's not a huge gap but a gap nonetheless.
not bad but perry and kane although being a little better than nash and kovi. you may have to look that your tradeing 2 lw for 2 rw. lw is a much more valueble . nash is lw/rw in yahoo aslo wich adds a bit of value.

I can see your thinking too but this is a huge 'sell low' on Kovie and he is argueably the best player in the deal and that concerns me a little. Nash I don't care for until he takes that next step which we all have been waiting on forever. Bogosian's coming greatness could also hurt you in the future,lol.
But on the flip side, you can't go wrong with Kane and Perry!

To Him: Kovy, Nash, Bogosian, Lehtonen
I think you made out Ok. Kane and Perry are studs. Sucks losing Kovy, but Nash is overrated IMO.

Rafalski=Bogosion + Lehtonen
