Pietrangelo vs OEL long term
Hey guys,
I searched a few threads for both these guys but couldn't really come to a conclusion regarding who the better choice would be long term.
Because of the pims i'm leaning more towards Pietrangelo.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

I personally would go with OEL. He will be the better overall player with solid numbers across the board. Pietrangelo is more of a one dimensional offensive minded D-man with more holes in his game. Also having OEL being compared to Nik Lidstrom himself speaks a lot.
They will both be studs though, but personally I'd favour OEL.
I'll take Pietrangelo, but it's close.

OEL but it close as well. Better skater,Better with the puck on his stick, better set up man. Pietrangelo (besides a tougher name to spell..LOL) Better over all offensive upside, will score more goals.IMO of coarse

OEL for me as well. May not get a lot of pim but he has higher offensive upside, IMO.
thats a tough one but I would take OEL here .... somewhat biased cause I own him but I also havent seen a lot of Pietrangelo. What I have seen of AP looks good but he just doesnt seem to have the same poise the OEL does, which is what excites me about OEL. I love D men who dont mind having the puck on their stick with an opposing player bearing down on them, I have seen him make passes that would make Datsyuk proud while skating backwards with guys forechecking him .... just my two cents but give me OEL every time.
As long as OEL plays for Tippett, his upside will be comparable to Pietro's 45-55. If/When Tippett is gone OEL will post huge numbers. I'll take OEL.
