I dont know what to do with this guy!!

If he comes back for another year I almost have to keep him dont I?? I got laughed at for using a keeper spot on him last year but I ended up looking like a genius.

I want to defend my title next season but I also want to keep Couture.

Damn you Teemu for being so damn good.

Great year for Teemu! Have always like his overall game.
(Side note: My fave player of all-time, also shall be remembered as a Winnipeg Jet, Keith Tkachuk)

Last year in one of my leagues, I made a comment that I still thought Teemu had enough skill to average a point/game. The commissioner called me crazy and made a nice public showing about how that comment was ridiculous. Thanks Teemu!

Agree with everyone here. Teemu has been a nice surprise this year and he will be a keeper for me again if he comes back next year. He will have a place on any of my fantasy teams until he retires, be that this year or 10 years from now!

I've learned my lesson. Teemu will be a keeper for me til I see the retirement presser on NHL Network one day in the future (where, hopefully, he WILL NOT cry like most of these retiring guys tend to do...).

Teemu was on my main roto keeper team for years, but last year he got hurt twice down the stretch I believe, and of course had all the "will he or won't he" retirement talk going all summer. So when it came time to pick my 17 keepers, spot 17 came down to Selanne....or Antoine Freakin' Vermette. Yep, confession time, I picked Vermette. We all know how that's turned out. Go ahead, let me have it. I know...WTF? Water under the bridge. But one of those Duh moments I wish I could take back.

Fast forward to the week between Christmas and New Year. I'm sitting in 1st place in said league, but knowing my main competitors are fielding guys like Crosby and Ovechkin and other roto guys who I expect will turn it on the second half and whittle down my lead. So I work out a deal and get Teemu back in the fold, along with Boosh and B.Little, for a boatload of prospects and a draft pick. Boosh helped me virtually lock up all 3 goalie cats, while my Anaheim dynamic duo of Perry/Selanne has helped me keep my lead with 3 weeks to go by just filling up the stat sheet night in and night out.

Lesson learned, for sure. Teemu Selanne will be a keeper for me this summer. I repeat that over and over to myself, just so I'm prepared when my brain cramps up in the summer heat.....

    Long Live Selanne!

yeah he's just an incredible player, one of those guys who's better at 40 than the vast majority of the league in their prime, maybe he'll pull a Recchi and just keep going and going and going

Bring back hockey to the Peg. Let Teemu play a final season there. Then put him in an executive role.

Icing on the cake for a great career!

How perfect would that be? Make him captain for as long as he plays. He loved playing there.

    *sigh*

Teemu is an ageless wonder and a beautiful player to watch. Just so skillful and pure offense. If I was a player I would watch a lot of video on him and see how he plays. Hockey IQ through the roof and a class person as well. Definitely on of my all time faves as well.

Keep it up Teemu. Can't hang'em up now. If he played the full season he would be top 3 forward in my fantasty pool this year right up there with the Sedins and Stamkos!! Simply amazing at age 40.

One of the guys who is in the championships for our league owns Teemu Toews Hossa and Rafalski. I think he's put up greatest statline that I've ever seen on a Monday night with only 2 NHL games.

This is just unreal. The Ducks should do everything they can to keep this guy from retiring. He and Lidstrom must have the same steroid provider er...trainer, trainer.

TEEMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!! My fantasy team thanks you more than you ever know. If I win my keeper league title this year, I'll be buying my first jersey that does not have the Bruins crest on the front. It will be a #13 Selanne Winnepeg Jets jersey!
