Cheers to that, Natgeo.
I know there was a lot of debate about Hedman's production and role on the team over the summer, but so far I'm liking what I see. He looks more comfortable with every game, and the last three games he has played the most minutes of any Tampa defensemen.
Six points in eight games, averaging 2.5 shots a game. Nice increase in PP time. Even seeing a little bit of time on the first unit.
Here's hoping he continues to increase his confidence, thereby leading to a nice little break out campaign.

I tryed to get him in one of my leagues and no dice this kid is going to be a stud in that high powered offense I really dont know how he flew under the radar for the most part this year??
Cheers to Hedman from another happy owner here!

I have to agree, NatGeo.
There were a couple threads on Hedman over the summer that got downright vicious. Not sure why fantasy hockey would provoke those sort of thoughts and arguments...
Hedman has looked really good so far, and is playing a ton of minutes. It's a good sign.
Nice post, Natgeo. As a Hedman owner, I'm diggin' it!
@SmittysRant
What do you guys think Hedman's point production for the season will be now? Still around the 40pt mark?
If the rest of his season is like the first 8 games, he will end up with...
61pts
102PIMS
174sog
Similar numbers as above but with 45pts?

I could realistically see him around 40pts, just shy of 100 PIMs, and yeah around 2 shots/game.
I never REALLY thought Hedman would be able to pull 40pts out this year, although I thought he would improve from his rookie year.
I drafted him last year 2nd overall over Duchene... I was mocked last year but I knew it was a long term investment. Nice to see that it looks like it's starting to pay off in only his 2nd year.
Yep, Hedman has been very good so far. I like that he is getting an opportunity to showcase his offensive talents. I initially had him pegged for 30-35 but may up it to 40-ish if he keeps getting chances. Best of luck to all Hedman owners, wish I had him on my club!!

My guess would be around 40-45 points, 80 PIMs, and about 160 shots on goal.
As a Hedman owner I like to think there's a chance for even more though, once the Lightning really start to click with their new system. Boucher has already stated he wants Hedman to step up, and it appears so far as though he has.
