Varlamov's status?

Noticed Neuvirth is starting the season opener on Friday. Haven't heard if Varlamov is slated to start on Saturday at home vs. NJ, or if his 'minor injuries' are the reason for Neuvirth's start.

Has anyone heard if Varlamov is good to go? Turco is available in my league, I'm thinking of dropping Varly for him, but need to do it before Turco comes off waivers late tonight. He'll be snatched up by someone right away, I'm sure.

Since you really aren't talking about a keeper decision here - I think I would do that. I think you are going to see Varly splits starts with Neuvirth at best and Turco really has the run of the show in Chicago. I am guessing you would much rather have a fulltime starter over a part time starter.

Tuff to drop anyone from Washington but Turco is a safe bet on a good team. No better or worse than Varlamov IMO. But you know he's starting and is capable of carrying a team.

Looks like Varley is out for at least the first 3 games with a groin injury.
