Alex Auld a crafty pickup?
I dont know why i havent thought about it before but stashing Auld seems to be a good move. it feels at this point that 25-30 starts isnt out of the question. im i out to lunch?
The guys on RDS think Sanford could steal the spot from him. I guess this is just fluff to make the exhibitions more interesting but it's not 100% confirmed. But Auld has shown some durability in the past and should Price get nicked up at some point he could play a string of games by himself. He won't set the world on fire during those starts though. So it really depends on your situation.

I think Auld is nothing but trouble in fantasy circles. He not only has to win the back up job, but the Habs are not a very a good team in front of him, and even if he gets in to 30 plus games the truth is his stats will probably be horrible! Steer clear!

Don't count out Auld. He has been a number one goalie in the NHL before, and almost lead a horrendous Canucks squad into the playoffs. This is by no way a prediction; but Auld is a crafty veteran who has the ability to step in a play well.
That being said, it is WAAAAAAAY to early to even consider picking him up. Maybe once he has actually made the team...

depends on your goalie situation and bench size .
I have him in a league as my 4th goalie/start 2 (theres a 10 man reserve bench mind you)
we all know how things can change in montreal
if price falters and auld looks good in mop up duty , he might get some starts

MTL will live and die this year with Price after trading Halak and keeping / signing him no one will steal that many starts as they are going to ride him and hope that he proves them right!
