this is exactly why I've stayed far away from him in all my leagues, some guys just aren't cut out for the physicality of hockey IMO....
of all the injuries a guy can get in hockey (and there are a lot) that's the one I hate the most...a torn ACL you can guesstimate the recovery time within a few weeks usually, a concussion is impossible to predict and impossible to know the extent of post concussions symptoms that will crop up for months, even years after
Sucks, those damn concussions can be a terrible thing. After Savard and this, just got to await to dreadful news on Booth.
The speed of the game in the "new" NHL has really increased the dangers of concussions IMO. We seem to be seeing a lot more of it in this era.

I couldn't agree more. People don't realize is that as people get just a little bigger, and a little faster, the force they hit with goes up exponentially. Speed X Mass = Force. So somebody with a speed of 2 and mass of 2 hits with a force of 4. Somebody with a speed of 3 and a mass of 3 hits with a force of 9. Somebody with a speed of 4 and a mass of 4 hits with a force of 16. People in the NHL ARE getting bigger and faster; the injuries will only get worse.
