    Default Nash?

Rick Nash will be entering his 8th year in the NHL (would have been 9 due to strike), he's one of these players that I beleive can hit 100points but he never even hit 80. did he hit his prime? with his $7MM + salary should I even consider targeting him? What could we expect from his this season?

    I'm interested in opinions....

    Thanks!

Around 75-80 this year. In my mind, he's worth it.

I still hold some hope for him. With Hitchcock out of there this is his year to prove he can do more IMO. If he can't, then he is still a viable multi cat winger or fantasy. Just don't compare him to the group above him like heatley, sedin, parise, kovy, or zetterberg. He would belong with the vaneks, or cammalleri's

In my book, Nash is amazing. I am hoping for him to hit it this year (80-90pts) as Brassard will surely pick it up a notch. Hitchcock departure will not hurt him either and who knows how beneficial will be Filatov arrival (hopefully) for him. He is, IMO, well above Vanek and could be put , to some extent, ine the same crowd as Sedin, Parise, Kovy, etc. with a good set-up man. Unfortunately for him, Clb is a small market and he might not have the chance to show us is full potential until he moves...

he could certainly hit 100 at some point in his career, that would be his career high though. I really want him to settle in as a ppg winger now though, I'd be pleased as punch with that

    Thanks for feedback!

Would you sacrifice Filatov and/or Vanek for Nash?

    I'm really confused....

I would sacrifice anyone of these guys anytime for Nash.

I would sacrifice vanek for Nash yes.

If you want to win now then yes filatov for Nash.

Wouldn't do them both for him though

yeah I would do that for Nash, he's about to come into his own trust me...power forwards always take longer to break out than their smaller speedier counterparts

if you need a little inspiration, watch this a couple times:

    What a sick goal.

Food for thought. Out of all the stars and superstars of the game, Nash consistently has the most short handed points. He played a lot of minutes on a not so good Blue Jackets team. Why do you think he looks dynamite anytime he plays internationally?

yep exactly, Nash plays at 200% when the chips are down...and with that team improving around him you're gonna see some fireworks

Nash has had a poor supporting cast to date. Might improve this yr. Id trade Vanek for Nash easily. Filatov as well.
