Toews for Thornton

Ok guys, if you were falling fast out of playoff contention, would you deal Joe Thornton for Toews in a keeper league? Each player costs us a draft pick the round above what they got drafted in this year and so on for every year after.
Toews 14th round, costs a 13th round next year, 12th round the year after, etc.... We cannot keep 1st rounders( Thornton) Sounds like a no brainer to me.

I like it for you but I assume it is the same team you showed in another thread and I would not be so quick to give up on a playoff spot unless its a small league - how many teams?

there`s 12 teams, I`m in last place, 22 oints out of the last playoff spot. This is something I`m considering, in the next 2 weeks or so, if those weeks go badly for me as the last 4 weeks have gone....hahaha.....I`ve been getting killed.

I think you have time on a deal like this - wait it out - you have some gunners there that if they come on you will quickly make up 22 points

Try to see milk it for something else. Joe will likely throw a contender over the top. But out of curiosity. How does this work? The first year of your keeper league, everyone drafts a first rounder, and so for the future of all your keeper years...those same players cannot be kept cause they are/will go in the 1st round each year? Seems weird.

i guess everyone gets a chance to pick Crosby for a year. i\'m not a big fan of pools that make you give up a draft in order to keep them. I like the idea that if u draft a player u get to keep him.
