    Default Minimum goalie start requirements

We are starting a new league and need to address goalie starting requirements.

If we allow two starting goalies, what keeps an owner from running one goalie and who tries to dominate the ratio categories (GAA, SV%) at the expense of wins.

Does anyone have a solution on how to require a certain amount of goalie starts or minimum level of minutes in order to force owners to run two legitimate starting goalies during the season?

Thanks in advance for any ideas and responses.....

What kind of league is it? roto I assume by the way you are talking.

An easy way is to plug in an additional category or two like 'goalie games played', 'saves', "shots faced'. This can skew things a little towards goalies having more value of course but it certainly stops the stuff you are trying to avoid.

In H2H leagues it's easy to require so many starts in a week and if not met, the guy forfeits all the goalie cats.

    Its roto...

    I was thinking a minimum of 80 goalie starts a year or 4,800 mins (60 mins X 80 games).

Seems like that would force the use of a 2nd goalie as intended.

Does anyone know if CBS has a category for goalie starts or mins played?

the one roto keeper I'm in employs a minimum 80 goalie starts
