Well, he did have 61 penalty minutes once. Other than that, I don't think he has Pugnacity, Truculence or Belligerence, so that must mean he has Testosterone!

He'll make a great No.7 defensemen when all is sorted out in Toronto.

he did play for detroit, hopefully he can tell us some of their secrets. anyways, lebda is not bad, plus it paves the way for a kaberle trade.

I am pretty sure Spector called this a day ago. Lebda is not a bad signing at all for our leafs. Burke is surely moving Kaberle though. Not that Lebda is replacing him but hes definitely capable of 5th or 6th dman duties.

EDIT: good post praba.....i'm always a little slow

Wow, it's gonna be weird watching Lebs in another jersey than the red and white.

I've watched quite a bit of detriot lately, especially in the playoffs with me being a Leaf fan all lol...

I never really noticed him and confused him with Lilja (I think that's how you spell, prob wrong)... Which one was hurt?

And if you can offer any insight Sentium I'd appreciate it and Rep u up... I know it's a minor signing but what exactly does he do well?lol

How you can confuse him with Lilja is a bit strange to me Lilja is big and slow while Lebda is small and skates like the wind. It's too bad that he doesn't have better puck skills, because he's one of the most fluid dmen skaters in the game today. He's a good bottom pairing guy who is pretty good at covering his man even though he's a bit on the small side. He can dish out a mean hip check once in a while and he makes a pretty good first pass, but don't expect any big numbers by him in any area.

Sounds like a Bret Hedican clone, would they be comparable?

He's not quite as physical as Hedican, but I guess it's a pretty close comparison.

good analysis sentium. I think jayz just mixes up the name Lilja and Lebda, I have done it in the past. All I know is that both Lilja and Lebda were the two red wings on the backend who didn't get played much haha as Lidstrom, Kronwall, and Rafalski patrolled the Joe Louis

    Rep for the quick response...

I just looked him up and at 5'9", 190 he doesn't seem to fit the Dman (Burke) mold... Thanks again for the response...

I guess I just confused the 5 letter last name guys that start with L lol, pretty ignorant eh?

Hahahaha... I like Luke... Big and willing to learn... He seems like a good character guy too...

But I'm not unwilling to consider accepting him to go for some real offensive help like Ryan (I know, I know it won't happen) but not for a flake like Filatov...

Kabs for Fila I can deal with but I'd opt for Schenn over the little Russian that could anyday
