I'm much rather have your side of the equation, you should be able to get better than that
my trade partner is probably reading this but what do you think of
My Nash, Stastny, Duchene and Benn
for his
Lecavalier, Savard, Keith + pick(pick has small value)
My team is in serious need of defence help...here is the roster and league stats
12 team dynasty, points only.
Goal/Assist-1 Penalty Minute-.1 Shot-.05
Shoot out Goal-1 Plus/Minus (+0.2 or -0.2 )
ROSTER
(start 12 fwds, 6 df, 2 gls)

D: Kronwall,Whitney,Corvo,Niskanen,Ohlund, Colaiacovo,
G: Fleury,Leclaire,Osgood
Prospects: Colborne,Matthias,Sanguinetti,Vishnevskiy

My initial reaction? Yikes! That is one very expensive D guy. Granted you are getting two very good forwards in return but the age differential you are giving is very big.
This looks to me like you are selling your birth right for a quick fix - I sure wouldn't do this.
take out benn and the pick and then the deal looks right IMO
hahaha... i am not the other gm..
but vinny vs nash... probably equal points but vinny gets the nod as he has hit over a PPG
savard vs stastny... again.. probably equal, but if both healthy then i give the nod to savvy.
keith vs duchene... not sure what duchenes limit is.. nor really with keith (ie if he can keep his totals up.)
so i would prefer the side he is getting if benn and the pick get taken out.
thanks for your opinions guys...i just took this team over today, made the above trade, and made another trade. My sharp, krejci, byfuglien, colaiacovo for his booth, clowe, erat, enstrom, neuvirth. my roster now:
F: Getzlaf, Lecavalier, Savard, Booth, MacDonald, Antropov, Bourque, Connolly, Wolski, Erat, Clowe, Avery, Poni, Stajan
D: Keith, Enstrom, Kronwall, Whitney, Corvo, Niskanen, Ohlund,
G: Fleury, Leclaire, Neuvirth, Osgood
Prospects: Colborne, Matthias, Sanguinetti, Vishnevskiy
where do i go now? do i have a reasonable shot to be in the top 3?
With the team listed above you don't have a shot at the top 3 IMO unless Vinny and Savard and MacDonald all get back to their former greatness and Wolski breaks out.
Looks more like a middle of the pack team to me at this point.
I would drop Matthias and pick up another (better) prospect but not sure how your league works. Some dynasty leagues allow certain teams to stockpile a ridiculous number of players on their farm compared to other teams which makes taking over a team like yours an impossible task IMO.

I wouldn't have done that first trade either. Duchene and Benn have great potential (more Duchene then Benn) and are showing it already. I probably would have tried to acquire an up and coming D (Yandle for instance) rather than give up a ton of assets for Keith.
Regardless, I think you need to address your goaltending situation especially since you start 2 goalies. LeClaire, Neuvirth and Osgood are not going to be playing the 60+ games you would expect from your #2 goalie...

damn hate to rank like everyone else yeah not top 3 and to be honest im very worried that you will fall to the bottom of the league. you have some very very risky guys here and i dont know if they will come through for you going forward.
Injury risk: savard, booth, bourque, connolly, erat
Bounce back risks/consistancy risks: lecav, savard, booth, macdonald, bourque, wolski, poni
thats just looking at your forwards. and then if you look at your goalies. fleury is a very up and down risk (not sure what your goalie stats are thoguh), leclaire injury GALORE. osgood reitre? maybe play 10 games next season? neuvirth i like but 2 yrs away from any starting role (i think).
again if everything can click for your team then yes you can be competitive but you have alot of risks here. good luck i hope it works out.
