I know Dobber loves him, but what's Dobber Nation think of him.

From the games I've seen, he looks pretty good. I'll say 25-30 points next year, 40 potential for future years.

I'm a huge fan. Dobber's tossing around 40 as early as next season and I tend to agree. There are no roadblocks in his way so he should continue to be used as he is currently. That means lots of ice time and PP minutes. I also expect Carolina to be an improved squad next year so there's no reason to think he won't wrack up points. I peg his upside at like 50.

The predictions are good, from the write-ups I had kind of expected him to make the team out of camp. Seeing the season the Canes put together maybe it's just as good he didn't. What I've caught of his end of season cup of coffee has me excited to check him out in preseason next year, but with the way he has fit and management's claims of big off-season turnover in Carolina this summer, I don't see why he isn't given every opportunity.

I saw him play one game last week.....from what I saw, I was impressed! He played a nice heads up style coming out of his own end. He always made a good outlet pass. He was not out of place on the point in the power play.....looked good all around!

Thanks guys; I picked him up with 1 of my last 2 moves for the season and plan on keeping him over his injury prone teammate Pitkanen.

He does look good and like the last poster said, Pitkanen is always getting hurt. He will be one of the main d men on his team in his first year sorta like tyler myers is with buffalo. But I don't see him putting up Myers type numbers at least not right away. I see him having streaks like DelZotto had and probably finishing off with around 37 points. But he is gonna be a 50+ point guy and double digit goals one day.

Pitkanen was out tonight with a lower body injury. McBain played the most among the Canes. 26:58, all of the 51 seconds of Carolina powerplay assisting on that goal, got the most PK time while the Canes didn't allow a PP goal, was +4 on the night, 2 assists in total, 1 hit and 1 blocked shot. Holy hell am I glad I picked this guy up

His assist too Staal on the powerplay had Pierre Mcquire doing one of his orgasmic routines he usually only saves for someone named Phaneuf, Price or Toews. It was a beauty.
owning Staal and Mcbain just saved my +/- standing for the year and should secure 3rd for good...but ive said that too many times now and 4th place keeps coming back, but Staal should be good for another 4pts on Saturday so I wont worry.

Ditto, although that statement taken out of context could be awkward.

I am liking what I am seeing from him. Next season could easily be a Yandle-like breakout year for McBain.
