    Default E.Staal - to much?

    I would be giving:

    S. Mason and B. Little

    for

E.Staal and one of either Toskala/Giguere

We are going to need more information to be able to make an accurate assesment on this. Roster, scoring cats, keeper or 1 year. A lot of things rolling on this. Overall, Staal is going to be a 70-75 point player in a year that he plays all year. Anything more then that is gravy. Base your trade on this fact. Mason is having a tough year but he will bounce back. Little and the goalies really don't do anything special in this deal for me.

I have Turco and Kippy starting for me with Rask and Mason on the bench.

How about your forwards? Where does Staal fit into this equation for them?

Overall, i would have to say that this deal is going to work out well for you. Staal is starting to come on like he did last season about this time and he should be pretty productive for the rest of the year. Your goalies are still reasonably young and Rask will have the starting job in a year or two so you are not losing too much there. Why not take a chance and go for the title.

I think it's a no brainer, rask is and will be equal to Mason, so you can afford to lose him.

Little is not and will not be in ther same startosphere as Staal. Staal is still at a buy low price, do this ASAP, IMO.

I am not as sold on Staal as everyone else on this site seems to be. Everyone seems to treat this guy like he is still a 100 point player. Hate to break it to everyone but he is far from that. He is a 70 point guy (and not even that this season) who is about to be paid more per season then Ovechkin, Crosby, and Malkin. If your pool takes salary into account this guy is NOT worth it.

I would go for Staal/Giguere...I agree that he is not a true 100 point player, but he's not just a 70 pt guy either, he is 80+...

I had him last year and he sucked for a long time and then just turned it on and ended up as one of the most valuable fantasy forwards, I'd expect the same this year, he's already heating up...plus he scores a lot of goals, something more hard to come by than assists....

oops, points only so goals/assists are the same but I'd still go for Staal....
