Nikolai Khabibulin is still yet to return to the ice after suffering a back injury in Saturday's pre-game skate on November 21st.
"He's not cleared for anything yet, he's still suffering," said coach Pat Quinn on Monday. "He's a top player; when you lose your top players it's not expected and you miss them. But you have to somehow suck it up and keep going. We miss him and hope that he's back soon." Khabibulin missed 12 games with a back problem last March, so he could be out for a while longer. Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers has started the last five games for Edmonton in his place. Stay tuned.
