Default Souray, Burns, Coburn, Yandle, Edler

    Goals, assists, +/-, PIMS

Souray had 50+ points last year along with a healthy dose of PIMs. I see Dobber is projecting him as having more of a 40 point season. That's completely understandable as Souray has always been an injury risk, but would other people over here rank him below any of the guys I have listed in the title?

Who is the best out of the 5? My pick is Burnsy, but I am not sure.

1 year league i think you have to take souray over all those guys even with injury risks. However, i like burns very much as well. Im sure Burns will rebound this year, but how can you pass up a 45-55 point 90+PIM D when healthy. I also think that Souray's is not as injury prone as people think. Last 3 seasons if you dont count his 1st year in Edmonton he played at least 75 games in all of them.

Hey kytmagic - in a keeper league I really think I would opt for Burns even though you might be giving up an edge in production for a few seasons - if Burns fulfills his promise I don't think you will regret that choice. It's always a crapshoot, I like Souray well enough - I am pretty sure Yandle will rise in the next few seasons as well - Coburn needs to deal with the Pronger - Timo factor. Edler is promising but not enough to opt for him over Burns I think.

I wholeheartedly agree with Shoeless, Burns is going to be a monster for years to come, well after Souray is no longer a fantasy factor. There's a reason why Burns is likely an Olympian and Souray has no chance.

I rank em as follows for this season:

    Burns
    Souray
    Edler
    Coburn
    Yandle

the bottom 3 all have great potential, especially Yandle & Coburn but they need a few years and a few breaks to realize it

To me this is quite easy ...

    1 year league: Souray

    Keeper: Burns
    8-GM / WK-H2H
    Forwards: G=2, A=1, PP/SH= +1, GWG= +2, Shootout G=1, HT= +1
    D-Men/Captain: G=3/A=2
    Goalies: W=3, OTL=1, SO= +2, SV= .10

    Start = 13F, 6D, 2G / Keep 44 (3G)
    Captain: Matthews
(F): MacKinnon, Pasta, Marner, Rantanen, Malkin, Barkov, M.Tkachuk, W.Nylander, Pettersson, Gaudreau, Laine, Keller, Miller, B.Tkachuk, Stutzle, DeBrincat, L.Raymond, K.Johnson, Cozens, Quinn, Guenther, Kulich, Cooley
(D): Makar, Dahlin, Q.Hughes, Ekblad, Rielly, Werenski, Letang, Jones, Chychrun,
Seider, Edvinsson, Jiricek, Korchinski, Mintyukov, Ceulemans, Hutson
    (G): Shesterkin, Demko, Vejmelka
