under ALL circumstances i keep GIROUX
than Brassard
im not sure if Turris will ever pan out....lets face it...he got drafted out of tier 2 jr A aka Jr B....same thing....
I would trade Kyle Turris for Derick Brassard
I would trade Kyle Turris for Claude Giroux
I would trade Derick Brassard for Kyle Turris
I would trade Derick Brassard for Claude Giroux
I would trade Claude Giroux for Kyle Turris
I would trade Claude Giroux for Derick Brassard
Too close to call; I would keep the guy I drafted and see what I had
I thought I would get some idea about the value of these players in my keeper value with a poll. This is for a points-only league with no position requirements for forwards, and we'll say that all of these players are on prospect reserve lists for this year only - they will not play or accumulate points until 2009/2010. If you had any of these players, and were offered one of the other two guys, would you pull the trigger? Under what circumstances and why? Thanks guys!

as for your question...i trade brassard for giroux any day
i trade turris any day for Giroux
i trade Turris anyday for Brassard
Trade any of the above for Giroux. First choice would be Turris to trade off though.
None are proven and all are hype right now. As for potential, I like them in the following order:
Turris
Giroux
Brassard
Giroux seems the most likely to hit his potential and Turris the least, but Turris has the most upside by 5-10 points imo. Giroux is probably the best overall risk/reward pick though.
Interesting post Woodrow. I believe you attribute the potential to Turris becoming a potential 1st line center compared to 1st line wing for Giroux. He was miscast as a 3rd line center last year, but that just speaks to his versatility and ability. This year with both Lupul and Knuble gone, I suspect Giroux will line up with Carter and be able to find ways to get him the puck - remember in the playoffs, Giroux's shorthanded pass from behind the net, through 2 d, for a tap-in goal? That's what he can bring to the table night after night.
Brassard has great ability, but has been an injury case through junior as well with concussions plus this major shoulder injury. Turris confidence has been rattled, and I've heard rumors of him starting in the AHL to get back on track. That would be good for him, look what that time did for Getzlaf and Perry early in their career?
Turris has high end talent, but I would get Giroux here no matter what it took.

Turris
Brassard
That's my order. If Turris doesn't show any promise this year, he drops below Brassard. But lets remember that he is still extremely young and way too early to give up on him.
Brassard is injury prone...
so giroux, Turris then Brassard
they're all young, they're all potential right now so its hard to forecast exactly how they'll turn out but i think giroux is the front runner for sure. To me he seems the most NHL ready and he's playing on a really good team that should give him his big shot this year.
after Giroux I go
Turris
Brassard
