Great read on Joni Ortio
Ortio is one of my top 50 keeper league prospects. That's some good insight, Jimmy.

if you ever catch any video of him justin, i'd love to hear your thoughts.
interesting...how far do you think he is away?
mcgoo: many years man. he'll be in finland for at least 2 more methinks... and probably longer.
Yeah I agree with Ultra ... he is pretty far away. But there's a reason why he made it on my Top 50 KEEPER league prospects ... he has a lot of promise.
Think of Robin Lehner in Sweden. I think Joni Ortio has the same type of promise, but is actually a more structurally sound goaltender. I have seen a few Youtube videos of him and I remember thinking of a pseudo Johan Hedberg / Jon Quick type of a goalie. Quick feet, just smaller in stature than what is being seen at the NHL level.
I would give him two more years in Finland. Then we will see him come over to NA and impress. Remember, those Finns need a little longer in their home land before they can truly reap the benefits of their talent in NA!!
