Sounds to me like pressure on the Wings to honor his salary demands. If he doesn't get his $$$ in arbitration, he'll get it in Russia.

Doesn't make sense to me cause don't the 2 leagues now honour each other's contracts. So if he signed this, then comes back, won't he be suspended by the IIHF? I'm just not clear on this.
I also don't see Holland taking too well to this even if it a safety contract. He seems like a guy that doesn't like to be pressured like this. Definitely interesting. . .
I think it all depends on various out clauses in the KHL contract.
