Saturday Pickem Challenge - The Final Two!!!

After an entire season of making picks on a Saturday night it comes down to these 2! It should be a great matchup.

If it is a tie after these Saturday games then both players will need to make picks for SUNDAY games ... not Monday as usual.

I concur! Best of luck to both of you. CaporalRadulov was the guy that took me out, but hockeypoolgeek likely helped me win a couple hockey pools this year.

Hopefully it comes down to the last game!

Hockeypoolgeek : congratulations ! You\'re leading 5-3 right now, and I can only make one point if the Flames win, so it\'s over.

I still don\'t understand why I\'ve changed my pick for the Pens/Habs game, but what is done is done : you\'re the champ, my friend !

Isn\'t it more than 2 goals difference for the + points?

If that\'s the case (I really thought it was) - we\'re tied at 3-3.

You picked up a point in the CAR-NJD game, and 2 in the TBL-ATL game; I\'ve got one from the VAN-COL game, 1 from the BOS-BUF game, and one from the TBL-ATL game.

The only other game we\'ve picked differently is the EDM-CAL game - so it IS down to the wire with no chance of a tie! Awesome! Good luck, man!

Edit: Turns out you\'re right -- it\'s 2 or more goals. You\'d think I\'d have understood the scoring system after making it this far! :woohoo:

, but then went back to the rules in the regular season thread :

H - Home team wins (1 point)
V - Visiting team wins (1 point)
H+ - Home team wins by 2 or more goals (2 points)
V+ - Visiting team wins by 2 or more goals (2 points)
T - The game is a tie (or a shootout win by 1 team) (3 points)

Damn Habs...

So it came down to the final game of the night and Hockeypoolgeek pulled out the big win! Congrats to you on a full season of incredible hockey game picks!

Just wanted to thank you all for some great fun. Not sure if I\'ll do this again next year or not because of the time involved, but it was a lot of fun to do it this year.
