What kind of players could be had with that pick, determining its value?

I\'m pretty sure I would NOT do this trade as I like Green more than Whitney and Giroux more than Ryan although both of these players are quite good and their long term potential is quite high.

For me to even consider this trade it would come down to when you would be picking. If you\'re not getting anyone in the top 2-3 of the draft, then I would pass. If you could land Taveres, then maybe you do pull the trigger. Otherwise, you\'d be happier having Green and Giroux for your keeper imo.

The pick being offered to me is around 22nd over all. I have sent back stating I would need his other first pick which is second overall (maybe first by year end). With Tavares or Hedman in the picture, I would consider this.

Yeah, that\'s what I was thinking as well. You\'d need a really high pick to consider this. I\'m very much with Woodrow on this. I like both of your players more than his players. Also, don\'t be too quick to think of Hedman as the #2 fantasy draft pick this summer. He\'s golden in real life hockey, but it\'s not a given that that value will translate into fantasy. However, if the pick becomes #1 and you can surely get your hands on Tavares, then the deal gets A LOT more enticing.

Not enough for me to move Green unless that pick is Tavares.

Whitney\'s situation is very likely to get bad very soon if he gets moved, him on any other PP unit in the league is much less impressive.

Green is so far ahead of any defencemen in terms of keeper league value right now it would take Tavares or better for me to move him. Even if the pick was Hedman I wouldn\'t pull the trigger because you can only hope that Hedman turns into the offensive potential that Green offers in the next few seasons. He could very well flirt with 100 points.
