they play saturday and sunday?

leighton should nab at least one if not both. Ward is out about another week or so. I am not sure even with Ward hurt they would go with LEighton back to back, and with a new coach it is even more difficult to guess.

Safe money is Leighton for 1 game, and a 60% chance of a 2nd (15% that ward is back for it, since he is out with something very minor; and 35% it is some random call up out of their system ie Murphy... but i did not hear any news of a callup)

G Justin Peters has been called up for the first time after G Cam Ward went down with an injury. Peters, who had been playing with the AHL\'s Albany River Rats, was the backup to G Michael Leighton on Thursday night. With back-to-back games coming this weekend, it\'s possible Peters will make his NHL debut.


So they did call up a goalie?

So do you think he will start Saturday or sunday?.. i would like to get both of the starts. so i need to know if 1 goalie will get both or 1 and 1 and what day it will be

You are asking alot Hockeykid - I say if Leighton plays well the first game that he likely will go B2B but who knows until the game is played. Both games at home against a couple of tough teams and the Canes want some wins right now - I might go with Leighton for both.

What Shoeless said makes the most sense to me. Really though, its impossible to say with certainty what will happen and you usually won\'t hear anything close to accurate until game day.

That being said, I could see trying to play Leighton back to back if he has the momentum. He should start Saturday for sure, as for Sunday, its kind of a shot in the dark.
