With the FOW... Tage Thompson for me.
He had a bit of a rocky season, but all signs point to him as a real-deal point-per-game player.
Timo... mmmm... IDK.
New Jersey is sooo loaded at forward that it's no inconceivable that Timo could play top6 but be bumped off PP1.
I don't love that.
So, for me, slam dunk/easy pick on Tage.

Timo was great in the last few months of the season. That said, Thompson has shown high end upside that I don't think Meier has, so I'd pick him.

Not adding much but I throw in my vote for Thompson also. He may not be a perennial 100 point guy but ppg at least next year and for the foreseeable future. Meier is a great multi cat option but the upside isn’t as high and as some other keen posters mentioned that PP1 could be usurped from him.

This is a bit of a bold move IMO, but it could pay off for you. Time will tell. Certainly historically, Fiala and Meier have been pretty predictable over several years. TT and Laf are arguably the wild cards with significantly less sample size and some inconsistent results (TT more so than Laffy). They could both hit, or miss, or a combination thereof. However, as others have said, with the team you have you can well afford to play a hunch or two (:

I like the move. Seems like an upside gamble that has a decent chance of delivering not only the best player in the deal (TT), but another player who is on the way up in Lafreniere.

I also like it. Thompson's probably better than Meier. And I think we've seen Fiala's peak; he'll settle into being a 70 point player absent different circumstances. Meanwhile, Lafreniere seems likely to be a 70 point player, at a minimum, whenever the Rangers finally put him on PP1.

This is the way I see it. I think Lafreniere is worth a bit of a gamble. Just seems like a matter of time before he gets PP1. His numbers may skyrocket when that happens.Originally Posted by senryu

i think in your set up Meier is still the best player here. Only thing i like better about TT is FoWs from the wing. If he looses that eligibility it will be pretty one sided for Meier imo. IF he can produce offense all year like he produced in second half, everything else he provides is just top level.
