Cooley or Carlsson?
i just want to get a handle on what others think about these two in a trade scenario (My Carlsson, his Cooley).
i know he wants what is close to an unreasonable return so its likely ill have to add, but i do have another body (Quinn) that id like to keep as well, so its not all bad depending in what the ADD is (Perf??)
no real talks have ensued so its very prelim at this point.

I think moving Carlsson plus for Cooley as you describe it is a bad idea. These guys are of equal long term value IMO. Cooley may be ahead in production this year, maybe minimally so next year, but they are a dead heat. Maybe Carlssson is better. Who knows. I'm not overpaying for Cooley, certainly no way I'm adding Quinn, who is a blue chipper in his own right, as a "throw in" to get this done. I'd do a 1 for 1. If that's not enough, I'm walking away whistling a happy tune (:

Ya I guess so, kinda just filled in the blanks.
And for the record Quinn wasn’t in the trade he was a guy I’d be able to keeper if I sent a guy like Perf away with. And really that was just to make room for another keeper not necessarily because I felt I wanted or needed to add.

Carlsson > Cooley for me.
Carlsson is also a bigger-body... and those guys tend to pop a bit later.
I think numbers will be close in the next two seasons, but I do think Carlsson will have much bigger upside.
Especially - I think that ANA PP1 is going to be really good once they add one more piece. (which they will, this year)
