Mens World Championships
Looking forward to seeing the rosters for the upcoming WC's this spring. Teams should be loading up with players who are auditioning for the upcoming Olympics.
Im hearing Celebrini is getting an invite to Team Canada.

@usahockey officials are building one of the best U.S. rosters ever for a Men's World Championship. Hearing that Team USA has commitments from Trevor Zegras, Cole Caufield, Zach Werenski, Jake Sanderson, and Luke Hughes.
Games begin May 10 on

Tourney is also sometimes a "jump off" for some players - mix in with players from other teams - maybe gain some confidence.
Drew O'Connor was a guy that had a nice run last year for the USA team. I'll be curious if he's back this year.
He ended up playing 2nd half of this season mostly as top line wing with Crosby. I think he's getting gooooood.
But the tourney last year really helped his development, I think.

What will really get people's attention will be if Crosby goes. We'll get to see him with Bedard for the first time.

I doubt we'll see Sid there, as he has nothing to prove for the Olympic committee as far as roster spots go, but you never know.
I expect Binnington to be starting for Canada this spring. Bedard will be there, as will Fantilli I'd imagine.

Was hoping to see Fantilli and Celebrini in action but I guess not. Instead, we get PLD. Lovely.Team Canada has added reinforcements for the Men’s World Hockey Championship. Pierre-Luc Dubois, Nick Paul and Brandon Hagel are joining Canada. Macklin Celebrini and Adam Fantilli have made the decision to return home. Celebrini is obviously tied to the NHL Draft Lottery.

Given that PLD was motivated to go, maybe he has something to prove, aside from getting a bit of confidence back..? Regardless of what Blake has told the media, I'd be looking out for how well PLD performs in this tournament.
Plenty of good players is in the tournament. I like Sweden's chances.

Seider isn't playing for Germany due to insurance issues...? Silver medalists last year and can't sort it out for their top defenceman... :-/

Zellweger looking good. Ppg after 4 games with crappy ice time. Keep an eye on him next year.
