I'm a Massachusetts guy so this will be strange, but every time I think someone in a position like this is indispensable, I forget about them a lot faster than I thought I would. Like I kept saying how will they ever get another Derek Sanderson, and then I realized I hadn't even thought of him for years until now.

Honestly, teams need to have homers as their broadcasters, it's better. I hate watching the SN guys tip toe around bad calls and what not. Homers are good for the home teams broadcast.
Now Jack Edwards is the bad type of homer where he insults players, thinks players are diving when they aren't, and just is the extreme of bad in homer broadcasters. However, he is Boston.
I'm glad he's gone, but the controversy is always a good time.

So all of you are aware, Edwards has been struggling apparently for some time with his speech. This is an interesting read. I listened to the game and it was perceptible. It's actually courageous that he's still gutting it out, but also likely wise to step aside in view of the circumstances.

Good for him, I hope he enjoys his retirement. I didn’t mind him and Brinkley on the games. Thought he was a bit of a close talker but Brinkley didn’t seem bothered.
