I'm trying to get a new league off the ground which is a copy of a bunch of similar leagues, with a few main differences.

32 team full dynasty, H2H points (points, hits, blocks, shots, wins and saves for goalies).
$125 per year, with $100 to yearly prizes and $25 to the dynasty pot (win twice in a 3 year period wins you the pot)

Unique rules include:
1. Draft order determined by total points accumulated after being eliminated from playoff contention, aka 'Gold points' or 'Doan points' depending on your source. The worst team gets eliminated first and should accumulate the most points. This should keep all teams competitive and, more importantly, engaged for the entire season.
2. Trade counter system - All trades are open for counter offers for 48hrs, at which point the original GM's can take one of the counters or stick with the original deal. This one is controversial and won't be for everyone, but in leagues this size there can be (usually is) a few trades each year that are so imbalanced that they disrupt competitive balance in the league. Also, some guys live on fantrax, while some guys check in a few times per week. This should help GMs get in on trades even if they have jobs/families and can't work the phones like Bryan Burke.
3. Top 16 league wide qualify for playoffs. 'Pick your opponent' for matchups. First seed picks their preferred opponent, then 2nd seed, etc. until all matchups are set. Shrewd GMs can cherry pick an opponent with a bad sched, bunch of injuries, or whatever.

There are a few guys from a few of these different leagues on board already, but still lots of spots available, hoping to get the inaugural draft going in June sometime, slow draft with 12hr clock.

If you're interested, shoot me a message.

Party on, Wayne.
