Not true with Detroit as they have 89pts and an OT loss would put them at 90pts. But Philly technically is still in, my bad.
Philly has 87pts, best they can finish is 89pts. Which would at best tie Washington, and Detroit. Philly would tie Washington in RW, ROW, Wins, and would come down to H2H which Philly would then hold 2-1. Philly would beat Detroit with the tiebreaker RW (31 to 27)

True. Got too focused on the whole RW, ROW, etc and lost the points. Still a minuscule chance them making it. The biggest influence of this chance might be that they have a bit of incentive for beating Washington. It's not an entirely meaningless game for them.
The best thing for a Wings fan is you aren't score watching 3 games lol. I watched the game yesterday vs MTL and I was on the edge of my seat cheering with ya. What a game (Also helped I won $150 on a $5 bet lol. Running it back with the same bet too of Caufield, Raymond, Larkin, DeBrincat all 4SOG+)
You caught me slacking on Philly! Good catch!

Ya.....for a while I was thinking Detroit was ahead just because I saw the R*W and didn't really think too hard about it. Then a few weeks ago I realized it was ROW....not RW.
I've actually emailed Score to update that. It doesn't make any sense as to why they'd have it over the proper tiebreaker.
EF pointed this out too:
Flyers need a regulation win. If they are tied 4-4, they need to pull the goalie, meaning Washington might clinch the playoffs on a Game Winning Empty Net goal.

I think you're right. I had to look it up. Got a bit confused by hockeyrobot's comments about Detroit being ahead in the tiebreakers. https://www.espn.com/nhl/standings has the standings mostly covered for stats. Most sites only track the ROW still.
Another peculiarity - When there's an odd number of H2H meetings, only the even home-away results matter, the first odd game of the series is taken out of the equation, which means it comes down to +/- stats as the 5th and final tiebreaker between Philly and Washington, which Flyers now leads at -25. Washington now has -38 which seems like another amazing stat of the season, if they make the playoffs.

Regulation wins became the first tiebreaker two or three seasons ago to nuke the value of 3 on 3 wins
Get ready for some whacky lineups. Hurricanes resting 8 regulars tonight.
