- teams are named after real life teams, during season must have at least 9 players from your team name (can change names if you get to 9+ of another team, this most easily done in offseasons), owned in any way counts (active starting or BN'd, IR/IR+, NA, prospect list).

- rosters: same as real life, 4 of each forward type (C/LW/RW), 6 D, 1 G for starters, 4 BN. 10 IR, 10 IR+, 5 NA. NA slotted players are either veterans in minors (or other reasons for NA status) or prospect elig players, if the latter would also be on prospect list (can't enlarge prospects stashed by using NA slots).

- prospect list: (max 10) off roster, can remain on list till player goes over 100 (skaters)/50 (goalies) for games played in season (playoff games don't count towards this). list is in comish note on main league page (also a backup on proboards), call ups/send downs/additions/drops/trades can be made all season long (preseason too). anybody that has been drafted or signed once by an NHL team can be acquired, do not worry about yahoo having very limited prospects here (i think like 65%+ of the guys we slow drafted this year aren't in yahoo yet) by the time of our yearly draft. prospect list changes are noted either in chat or emailed to me (transactions record is also kept just below in comish note and backed up in proboards). any trades that involve prospect list players need be noted in similar fashion so we have a record of it.

- goalie max rule (only 2 rules, the min 9 players of team of your name during season and this): only applies to actively slotted goalies (either starting or BN), not IR/NA/prospect list and only applies to IN season. as many as you want from ONE real life team and UP TO 1 from a 2nd real life team. cannot make yourself illegal, but obviously real life trades/signings can do that, in event of a real life trade/signing that takes you from legal to illegal, 3 days leeway time to figure out who you'll either trade away or drop.

- scoring: goals, assists, shots, plus/minus, PIM's, PPP, SHP, shot %, hits, blocks, faceoff wins for skaters, for goalies the standard 4, GAA, sv %, wins, shutouts. min 3 goalie appearances per regular length matchup (7 days is regular).

- yahoo related note: starting feb 2023 yahoo nixed message boards. if they continue to nix things we need we'll be moving to fantrax, keep that in mind. would already have moved to fantrax if not for yahoo inertia of many owners here. but at some future time it's entirely possible we will. lately they've been removing position elig for some players in the MIDDLE of the season (since november i noticed this for about 12ish players).



- TB: is currently in 11th (last year with owner (bummy owner) was worse, around 14th-16th)
