Default Trade help: Crosby for larkin??

    Hey Everyone,
I got a trade offer that I’m really contemplating.
Currently I’m in a fantasy points only league. We protect 6 players. My current protect 6 are :
    Kucherov
    Pastrnak
    Crosby
    Bratt
    Stutzle
    Btw: Kyrou and Guentzel

    The offer is:
Crosby (36 yrs old) for Larkin (28 yrs old)

Would you guys pull the trigger if you had Crosby??

    Thanks

Yes I’d trade a 36yo point per game player or slightly above for a 28yo point per game player. Crosby is great and should keep producing at or close to this level for a couple years but Larkin is a lot younger and almost at the Same level. Plus the wings should keep getting better and Pittsburgh is getting worse. Maybe Larkin can be a 90point player soon.

'Almost at the same level' is crazy to say...I think Crosby will out produce Larkin for the rest of this season and the next 2.

I get it as it’s Crosby and he is great and is still producing at his age and can continue for years yet but its points only league and he is at 55pts in 53 games and Larkin is 49pts in 49 games so I personally would make the swap cause the big age gap but wouldn’t fault anyone for keeping Crosby here either.

A lot can be said by going younger especially when both teams are in opposite directions.
I can understand the decision to go with Larkin.
However give me Crosby until the wheels fall off and he proves me otherwise.

I will take Larkin here. Yes it’s Crosby but when Crosby retires in about 3 years you have a strong consistent Larkin around his prime. You may lose in the next 2 years but you’ll reap the benefits after that.

I'm taking Larkin here. Crosby is barely above a point per game and that's with Guentzel alongside him. And let's not forget Guentzel can walk this offseason and with each passing day is more likely to do so, as I would've thought that if he was going to stay put he'd have re-upped by now. Or to put it another way, Larkin has fewer question marks, plus youth.
