5 players have been instructed to surrender to London police to face charges for sexual assault. Still waiting for big sources and names but it sounds real.

It was actually Robyn Doolittle (Globe and Mail Reporter) breaking it and Rick Westhead citing her. Robyn said she had 2 sources saying the story, but he article is behind a paywall (which is BS).
If Robyn is writing a Globe and Mail article on it, it's 99.9999% factual (nothing is 100%)
Also side note, mere minutes after 5 players are told to surrender to police about sexual assault, a prospective NHL owner is asking the league to start the expansion process (Utah). The NHL is trying to hide/bury the sexual assault news.

I'm relieved the offenders are being charged...I just hope this doesn't turn in to a long-term trial.
For the sake of the victim, I hope the evidence is solid enough that the offenders accept some sort of plea agreement and serve their sentence.

Pretty sure the victim is pressing charges the whole time. Since the news broke, it was London Police that was holding up things. And in 2018 it was London Police saying they didn't have enough to charge anyone (AKA didn't take it seriously enough).

Could be. Although they settled a lawsuit a year or so ago. I'd assume there would be some legal constraint on the victim to push it further, but the laws are quite different from here. I believe practically anyone could force an investigation of rape here, not just the victim.
