Vanecek worth a pickup?
This is for the dynasty league in my signature.
Vanecek was just dropped.
I know he has been pretty bad this year but New Jersey should be a good situation for a goalie.
What makes me hesitate is the presence of Schmid and the potential that New Jersey trades for a goalie like Gibson.
I have Jarry who is a reliable starter but I don't trust Levi yet. Trading for goalies is hard in my league.
Should I add Vanecek? If yes, would you use a 2nd waiver priority on him?

There's risk involved as you've mentioned, but I'd roll the dice on him. NJ is generally trending upwards and even if Schmid gets his fair share of starts, having a chunk of NJs G starts should be an upgrade over Levi for sure. No use sitting on that 2nd waiver priority forever imo...

If you feel safe in dropping someone off your roster and not Levi than I would pick up Vanacek.

If goalies are hard to come by in your league then I would pick him up
