Default Vilardi a "Good" Replacement for Connor?

Knowing there's no way to truly replace Kyle Connor with a free agent pick up, what do people think about Vilardi? He was giving the shot last night on L1 and PP1, and produced. Do people think he is there to stay while Connor's out and worth a free agent claim? Or is it more likely that Connor's spot gets rotated through by Vilardi, Perfetti, etc.?

The Jets are invested in Vilardi's success as the main piece obtained in the Dubois deal. It is safe to say that they will put him in a position to succeed with Connor out unless he falls flat on his face. Which isn't happening so far.

when Vilardi is on, he is at best 60% of what Connor is offensively and Perfetti is not much better atm either...there is no solution to replace Connor and for NHL team will probably be replacement by committee meaning whole team needs to pick up the slack and that top line spot will most likely get some kind of rotation....for fantasy purpose, depending on depth of the league, i would look elsewhere for someone who has more permanent spot on PP1 and top 6 ...

I like Vilardi as an option for you, because he's got the first shot at that deployment, and if it sticks while Connor is out, it is fine.

Sometimes the next man up is the right call, because it is the most straight forward and easy move that is a hit when there are no home runs out there.
