Raanta Vs Gibson

We would you rather keep moving forward for this year? Raanta looks like he might split even with the Andersen injury and same with Gibson. My weekly league counts W/Saves/GAA/SO

Even though Gibby is playing well (Dostal push) I agree, goalie on the better team is my choice, Raanta.

Carolina is much better. Both can get hurt, and at least Raanta has an above average track record when healthy. It's him

I am going to go with Gibson. Raanta is going to split starts with Kochetkov and when Andersen returns will be a backup. Gibson is looking like he's back to his old form and Anaheim looks much better early on. I would bet on Gibson having better stats the rest of the year than Raanta.

I also like Gibson more. Kochetkov is the heir apparent and they're going to give him plenty of opportunities to prove it now that he already has some experience in the role. Dostal, while great thus far, isn't likely to be trusted as much in his first year in the role as long as Gibson is playing well enough. Therefore Gibson should reliably get more starts than Raanta. I'd be willing to take the risk on Gibby staying healthy now that the team around him seems to be improving at a faster rate.

In a "both players healthy" world - I'll take Raanta.
Whether he can stay healthy all season... IDK... but for now - you have to hedge that he can.

There have been a few comments about how Carolina is the better team, so they'd choose Raanta. But the two teams are actually tied in the standings right now and Gibson is far outplaying Raanta. I'd take Gibson.
