I have 2 offers on the table with the same GM. I am 1st and he is at the bottom now, but he has a pretty good team with a lot of slow starts.

1) My Guentzel/Mintyukov vs his Meier/Morrissey. Morrissey was a beast last season, is it a blip on the radar or can he go over 70 again? Mintyukov might be a stud as well and hits and blocks a lot as well.

2) My Pettersson, DeBrincat, Mintyukov vs his J Robertson, Meier, Morrissey, 2nd
Pettersson is 69$ and will go up by a lot next year, wheras Robo is 33$ and will be keepable another 4-5 years.

1) No - Meier is a misfit in NJ given he shoots too much to be paired with Hughes but needs a better playmaker than Hischier, and Guentzel either stays with the Pens and excels or signs as a UFA to play on a team that will heap ice time on him

2) No - if you must sell EP40, and you should try not to, you shouldn't have to package those other two as well

Great arguments! Not trying to sell Petey at all but offers are flooding in and getting slightly interesting.

Should I try and buy low on Robertson? Maybe a Cat/Mintyukov/pick vs Robo/Morrisey and see if he bites? Or would you simply walk away? He seems petty locked in on the Cat ad Mintyukov

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. Usually in those cases I stand pat. But if you're a believer in Jrob it's not an unfair deal.

I like this a lot for you:

Tkachuk > Pettersson in this set up
J Robertson > Debrincat in any set up
Morissey still > Mintyukov and maybe for a while. Minty is a new shiny toy and even tho there is a lot to like, he is probably valued a bit higher than he should be right now.

to me this is clear win.
