That's true. He didn't play a whole lot of 3rd base last yr but Boston has Devers. In LAD he was about 50/50 3rd and DH his final yr there, but was their full time 3rd base every other year. I think he's about an average defender at 3rd, which is insane at his age.

It'll probably end up just being a battle between Turner and IKF for 3rd base duties.

Corbin Burnes is traded to the Orioles for Joey Ortiz (INF), DJ Hall (LHP), and the 34th overall pick in the 2024 draft.

I think the Red Sox are going to finish 6th somehow in the ALEast.

AL East loses Glasnow but gets Burnes. I know it's for one year but it feels like they got off easy not having to give up a top 5 prospect.

That's a dandy trade for Baltimore. Not so great for the rest of the AL East.

It'll be interesting since his numbers have gone the wrong way since his Cy Young yr, but his team defense also just got better. But the Brewers got two players they can use at their MLB level if they want this yr, which is probably big for them.

Burnes was one of the oversized pitchers that struggled at the beginning of the year with the clock and then kind of figured it out in the 2nd half with a 2.71ERA (but a bad August).

Oh well. At least we're keeping Manoah. Not sure if that's a good thing at this point but I guess I'm never a fan of selling low. Or rock bottom in his case...

Sounds like there's legit traction that the Orioles are going to sign Martinez (DH) and Snell (SP)

insane both of them are still unsigned. Snell people will say wants too much but that's the cost of an ace with a devastating arsenal. Good for Baltimore, rarely can you be this good and cheap so they should absolutely load up before they have to start paying these kids real salaries.

I've been trying to message you back but it won't go through. I thank you for the offer but I am going to pass. After fantasy hockey ends I need a long break to prepare for the next go at it haha.

Well technically.....baseball draft is during hockey. We just need you to draft and then by all means take a break when you're facing me this season

I know from the experiences of others who've played it that it's very intensive and a season double as long as hockey to which I won't lie to you and say I'm going to commit to setting rosters everyday or maintain long term interest.

    All fair and understandable.

But my final plea....we actually cut the season short so we finish a month early.
