Honestly, I'm fine with them waiting for price tags to drop, but to say "We're monitoring Snell" is so "if the price drops enough, we'll take it" which won't happen with a Boras client, especially one that said on a Twitch stream that he wants to "get that bag".

If I was Vlad, and the reasoning for my production was down was because of the coaching staff (which I believe) I wouldn't accept that arb number and I would fight it.

News: RHP Yariel Rodríguez and the Jays have agreed in principle on a contract, source confirms the initial report by @francysromeroFR.

I'm told this will be a multiyear deal.

The contract won't be finalized today, as some details remain.

Carlos Baerga posted that the Jays signed Justin Turner.

Morosi is saying the Jays are signing Turner to a 1yr deal worth $13m with $1.5m in roster and performance bonuses. And it sounds like he'll be the DH mostly with play at 1st and 3rd sprinkled in.

Only 10 free agent players this offseason have gotten a deal that's 4yrs or longer and 5 of them weren't in the MLB last yr. 6 of the 10 are under the age of 30 too.

There is only 2 players in the free agent pool that are under 30yrs old, and MLB level talent. Bellinger and Rosario. Rosario won't get a deal over 2yrs, and I'd be surprised if he got a deal that's over $10m aav.

I'm looking at the Jays projected lineup...with the Jays signing Turner to a mostly DH role...what does that mean for the catcher position for the Jays? Does Jansen or Kirk get moved? Do the Jays move a catcher and reintroduce Varsho in a backup catcher role? I don't know exactly what the plan would be here.

I wont be surprised if Turner isn't their everyday 3B.
