Thursday - Pick 2

Yet another Goalie decision for my team:

All are probable or confirmed.

Kuemper vs. Islander
Gustavsson v. Devils
Vanecek v. Wild
Thompson v. Jets.

Thompson is the best and a must start, assuming he is confirmed.
After that it is a real toss-up. I'm leaning Kuemper, then Vanecek.

Thoughts?

As I always have to lead with, I am rarely right when making these predictions. That having been said, I could see Vanecek winning 5-4 or so whereas Kuemper might not win but could only lose 2-1 or so, giving him better peripherals. So if you need wins, I'd say Vanecek, but if you need peripherals, I'd say Kuemper.

I will also note that giving daily goaltending advice is pretty tough and I too am often wrong like Rizzee said. Goaltending is so unpredictable, you just have to follow the general trends and trust that your instincts will be right more often than not.

I’d be starting Kuemper and Thompson. If Thompson doesn’t get the start then Vanecek.

If you really need a win and ratio peripherals aren't too important, you could start both in the Minn vs NJ game. It could be high scoring.

I'd probably start Thompson if he's confirmed, and then go with whether you want to aim for a win or ratios when picking who the other guy is.
