    Default Time to drop Schmid?

I own him in the league in sig. It's starting to look like Vancek is the starter and Schmid has been playing awfully. I hate carrying three goaltenders and already have Husso as my 2nd. Time to cut bait?

Start 1 Goalie in a 12 team league - yes I would cut bait with Schmid.

panicking this early in the season is bad idea and is 5 times worst when it comes to goalies. Just like trusting him after last years was bit foolish.

Personally i never trust goalies year to year other than few at the top. I rather get someone who struggled and hope they turn it around than overpay (or over draft) someone who was brilliant for half a season and now cant stop a beach ball..this happens all the time with goalies.

i dont see Vanecek starting more than 50-55 games so Schmid will get his chances, i would hold unless you got much better option to pick up

I love how this post starts by insinuating the idea is irrational and then goes on to explain how it could very well be a rational idea....

He has 2 starters in a start 1 G format. Safe to drop and underperforming 1B at best.

If you are only starting 1 goalie then it seems like you don’t need 3 goalies anyway!!

Cut bait with a 3rd goalie for sure since you have 2 starters, unless the 3rd goalie is so good, you don't want to cut him. Schmid isn't that good.

not sure where you see insulting but fine...you can think that...

im simply trying to illustrate that goalies change year to year and panicking too early or jumping on the train too early is not good idea...and by too early i mean few years lol....imo goalies can only be trusted or be considered bad after consistent performance one way or the other for several years...

in offseason there was several posts about vanecek loosing his job to Schmid either in training camp or shortly after and at best for vanecek maybe it be 50/50...now few games into season we dropping schmid...next week vanecek will probably be in the dog house....just the way it is with goalies....

Illustrate away. Anyone who has been here more than 5 mins knows your advice is garbage and ignores your posts anyway.

Lol. A lot of people said this last year after the first few weeks of Vanecek.

I picked up Vanecek on waivers then the Devils went on a heater. Sold him for a good return

I'll never understand how some of us get uptight about differing fantasy opinions.

It happens to us all. Even me.

In the end we are all here because we love fantasy hockey. I'm trying to not get uptight more often lol

He said "insinuating" not insulting. Looks like you are looking for an argument or to play a victim.

    Question at hand, drop Schmid.

He meant to say insinuating. I don’t know if he uses talk to text or what but his posts routinely contain numerous errors like that.

I’m normally the same but there’s a history here. This guy routinely attacks me and has done so recently in other threads. I very often find his advice questionable and based on qualitative observations and not qualitative looks at situations. And I don’t like him. I will say his most recent tirade, found in the Prosvetov claimed off waivers thread, was based on his not understanding my post.
