Yes but in a 10 team league, at the end of the year that’s 20 fewer than 150gp players kept. There are a lot more good young players than that. Thus my feeling that you can drop Jiricek. Merz is still my choice.

Okay, this is a season-long points accumulation league, where you count the top 9 F, top 4 D, and top 1 G. And it's some level of keeper/dynasty, with Jiricek a free keep. Jiricek stays.
With the info on the valuation of young players, I'd probably drop a veteran F, add a goalie - which one depends on who you think will have most value to teams who love going young - and then look to deal Mittlestadt & that goalie for an upgrade in a couple weeks.
