Hey All,

as the owner of Vasilevski, I am struggling to find a goalie before my draft. I am in a 14 team league and the goalies are a bit rare. I do not want to waste a first round pick on a backup goalie or an uncertain 1B goalie.


i have been offered Levi but I am also the owner of Wolf and Askarov.

these goalies aren't NHL starting material either.... not now anyways....

in terms of Value, how would you rate these 3? who has the best chance of getting games early this season?

Levi is the best for immediate games. It sounds like Buffalo's going with him as their starter despite some concerns they might bring him along slowly. Long term who knows, those are two other really talented goalies. I can see a scenario where he's 3rd, but he's about to be given a look as a starter right now so...

Hard to say without knowing your scoring system, the offer or whose available. For example, if Merzlikins were available, I may roll with him over any of those three... but even that may be a waste of a first round space.

In a vacuum, Levi. He will have the opportunity that neither Wolf nor Askarov will have.

I they are all pretty equivalent in value. Levi's got the best chance at games. If you have to swap one of them for Levi it's reasonable but I'd rather have all three. The more darts the better when it comes to goalies.

If it's points only, I don't do that deal. Honestly, I'd try and find a goalie later int he draft for a few months.

And what's the scoring? Who are you dropping in this 2-for-1?

well, my issue is that since I only have a goalie in Vasi and Wolf would only be counted toward my rookie player, I can keep an extra player at any position.
I had decided to go with 4 wings. this would mean that, I would only be able to keep 3 of them now.

to me, it would look like a Keller against Levi. I know it does look bad but our league weighs heavily on goaltending a goal scorers.

I think out of the 3, Levi probably has the better chance of getting more games in than the other two. Unless things change in Cgy and Vladar is dealt, you then may be able to flip a coin.

I'd rather get a weaker skater than Kreider and a more proven goalie option. You might just find yourself trading for ANOTHER goalie in a couple of weeks if Levi doesn't break camp.
