Guess you should have added a “who finishes game 1” to the poll…
It is Campbell, but that doesn't mean much at all. I still think Skinner will get the majority of the starts as the season rolls along.

Meh, it's one game. Yes, it was fug-lee, but if all you did was watch the highlights, you didn't really see the game inside the game. This was a team loss, not a bad start by Campbell. The team was too soft in front of him, not good enough in their own end, pushed around and took too many damn penalties, and their PK was just shite! The team did not show up to play last night and Vancouver did.
Campbell was not the problem in game one. It's easy to look at the score and assume it was bad goaltending, but that was not the case for Edmonton last night. Sure, you'd like them not to give up 8 goals, but the reason they did was really due to piss-poor play in front of them leading to easy goals for Vancouver.

Canucks were ready and fire from the puck drop. Soupy was left alone to fend for himself many times. When he makes the first save, he has to be ready asap since that D had trouble clearing the front of the net all night. Plus, Canucks were winning the battles everywhere on the ice. Full value on that win. Round 2 Saturday night.
Call me old one more time.

Agree with both the assessment's above. I actually thought Campbell played better then Skinner. He had no chance on most of the goals, and the 4th goal that got him pulled was a fluke. I could see them going back to him on Saturday.

Too bad it wasn't who plays game 1. The answer both would've been prescient.
