Not an easy question for anyone to answer. I would say Wood has the slightly higher upside due to having a more dynamic skillset. Barlows stock price mostly comes from the fact that he's very physically mature and he has an amazing shot. If your league favors goals/sog, and has hits as a category it might be pretty close to even (assuming they both progress decently) but I would go with Wood every time if it came down to who to pick first.

Barlow projects as the better multi-cat forward for fantasy but your question is a tad vague. Could you be more specific.

It's close but I like Barlow's game to translate in the NHL better. Wood is a better home run swing.

    Ceiling: Wood
    Floor: Barlow
    Landing Spot: Barlow
    Puck Skills: Wood
    Shot: Barlow
    Passing: Wood
    Vision: Wood
Skating: Barlow (neither are burners but Wood really needs to improve)
    Physicality: Barlow
    200ft game: Barlow
    Leadership: Barlow

I guess it depends which traits are more important to you based on your draft needs / GM style / league setup / personal preference

I would agree with this. I think Barlow does more things that are easily translatable but Wood does some things far better than Barlow.

    Real NHL Value: Matthew Wood
    Fantasy Value: Colby Barlow

Barlow has a fairly high-end shot.
One of my favourite prospect analysts said he's the only guy beyond the 3 that is "NHL ready" now...
And that's because his top tools are in place.

In the WHL fantasy league draft, I wanted to take him at 12... but he was gone at 10.
    Matthew Wood went at 13.

I would probably go Wood. I believe he has a higher upside.
31 TEAMS keep all multi-cat (lot of them) dynasty
Offensive stats : Goals, Assist , PPP, PPTOI, SOG...
Defensive stats : PKTOI, BLKS, TakeAway, Giveaway...
    (basically best NHL player)

Thx for the advices! I will choose 13th and i should have the choice surely between these 2. Maybe Moore will be there too.

I would take either of those guys over Moore. I think the guys here are spot-on. Can't remember which prospect guru said it but he always views the 17-18 year-old with the full beard as a negative since they're likely more advanced physically and don't have as much room to grow. Don't know how valid it is but I thought it was interesting.

pretty sure sam cosantino said that during the sportsnet coverage of the draft.

I thought Barlow would have a deeper voice so maybe growing a bit more is in the cards
