If that's "dropped", where did you have him before?
I never had him in my top 5 for fantasy.
Shesterkin
Sorokin
Vasilevskiy
Hellebuyck
Saros
I'd have him around 6, but that's me.
After seeing this year’s mediocre playoff performance, I feel that Oettinger has dropped in fantasy dynasty league goalie rankings.
How far has he dropped? I’d put him in 3rd place, behind Shesterkin and Sorokin. What do you think?
My top 10 fantasy goalie rankings shown below. Anybody you would bump higher/lower than I have them ranked?
1. Shesternkin
2. Sorokin
3. Oettinger
4. Vasilevskiey
5. Hellebuyck
6. Georgiev
7. Saros
8. Skinner
9. Swayman
10. Demko
Scoring: Wins = 5; SO/OT Losses = 2.5; Shutout= 5; SV= 0.3; GA -1

In dynasty, Oettinger is safely top 10 and nothing has changed for me with this offseason, in the same way that Bobrovsky is not suddenly awesome now. Makar had 5 points this offseason while Evan Bouchard had 17. Makar is still ahead of Bouchard in my mind. Oettingher is not top 3 in my book, but unquestionably top 10.
Oettinger has demonstrated success in the 2022 playoffs and was riding pretty high this season until he slowed. He also is on a team that seems poised for sustained success. In a league with volume-based stats he is close to top five guy, and shouldn't get worse.

If you had him 1st, that explains why you ask how far he's dropped.
I have him in the second tier (note that I don't call players tier 0) as of right now. He's the youngest guy in the top 2 tiers for me.

It’s the sort of thinking that keeps you in a perpetual rebuild. Placing premium value on youth and potential and putting guys like Oettenger (24 yrs old) over Shesterken (27) or Sorokin (27) can keep you from ever competing.

Goalies don't hit prime years until they are older compared to skaters. I get it, age is a factor but we see a LOT of really good goalies play well into their 30s and if you're that focused on age, you're missing out. I am not even sure someone like Sorokin or Shesterkin have even peaked yet and they are 27.
Where do you rank Carter Hart?

i just wanted to see how far you dropped him. i mean really he had a mediocre playoffs, but that what recency bias gets you. turn back the clock 3 months and ask the same question, has he dropped?
3/4 is probably very close to where he is / should be..
