I gotta keep 20 of the list bellow, im wondering i should cut tatar and keep someone like walman or another instead

Players with numbers are the one i would keep

Is cap an issue at the moment?
Or positional requirements?
Can you make trades?
Is this team gunning for first, or are you more into a retooling phase?


Hard to tell without these info.

Since it's a CUT 6 based on what's provided, cutting Rosen, Gaudreau, Kessel and Hayes (in a cap league PTS only) seem like no brainers. For the last two, Not sure Amadio, Neiderreiter, and even Walman.

If cap is an issue, how about Hampus Lindholm who won't replicate -- can you trade him for someone in need?

Cap will certainly be an issue next season with miller/kyrou/bratt/larkin upgrading contracts !!
we don’t have position requirements: only 12f/6d/2g and we can bench any extra

i am allowed to make trades only after everyone brings their roster to 20man

I am making a run pretty much every year, i think lindholm still have a good value on our market since you need at least 6D

Tatar is a UFA and I could see a universe where he goes to Chicago and plays with Bedard. I'd chance it with him given your alternatives,

I'd personally keep Fred Gaudreau (at $2.1m for several years) over Neiderreiter & Walman.
Walman's minutes will be a career-high, he'll lose them with Edvinsson and Wallinder arriving in Detroit shortly.
Nino is 30... and just doesn't seem to do anything exceptional. He's vanilla, for me - and will lose minutes to emerging Perfetti, I think.

I don't disagree with Gaudreau over Nieds.

I would also take Walman over Beauvillier, keeping Tatar as well. Tatar might take a pay cut, and Walman gives you similar cap/production as Beauvillier but at a more scarce position.

The only guy im not sure i want to agree is Tatar. However since i see him taking a pay cut ill take a chance. I liked what Walman did with Seider and will hope he keeps doing good, even if i think Detroit will have better fit than hil. !


i i love Fred gaudreau i kept him for a long time. I think he has value anyways if i need to trade.


i have the 10th overall draft pick acquired by trade, all the 2023 prospects + non drafted one in ouf previous draft, and cut guys are available
