Both are quality goalies who are struggling. Seems a lot of good goalies are struggling early on. I'd try and offer Demko straight up for Markstrom and see if age factor sways him.
Hello all.
As a frustrated Demko owner I'm considering making a trade for Markstrom who has also underperformed. The other manager also has Andersen who just went on IR so I'm hoping to flip Demko and Raanta (picked up as a FA) for Markstrom.
Thoughts on Vancouver and Calgary moving forward? I think Calgary is more likely to figure things out.
Thanks.

I would make the offer, things will improve for Calgary once they get the likes of Tanev back. Markstrom had to come back down to earth this year after a career campaign at age 32 but like you I believe in that team and his chances for rebound more than VAN.
I do also believe that Vancouver is not as bad as they are playing in this early part of the season and Demko is going to turn it around. Calgary, however is a better all around club than Vancouver so I see better stats coming from Markstrom. I would first attempt to offer Demko straight up for Markstrom and then go with the other deal.
If they will accept that offer do it. Markstrom for Demko straight across

Hello all,
thanks for all the feedback on the previous question. Unfortunately the other manager had similar thoughts that Calgary is more likely to work out their issues than Vancouver. He is going to hold on Markstrom.
So follow up question: How about Logan Thompson from Vegas or Carter Hart? The manager of this team is a huge Canucks fan and has tried to trade for Demko. Due to Vegas being a much better team I am much more inclined toward Thompson. My question is can he keep this up or should I hold on Demko? One other wild card is how long Raanta will be #1 in Carolina since Andersen is out.
Thanks again.
