We don't have much of a sample size to work with here, a bit of a glimpse with Puli and less with Mercer, so you have to take the numbers in stride with that in mind. That said, I'm leaning toward Puli here. As you said, draft pedigree is there, less for Mercer. I think it's fair to say that if both of these guys hit their potential, Puli is the better own. That "if" is not a given however. I also think Puli is a better fit with your scoring cats, at least currently, and I'm banking on into the future. PP production is a key for you and Puli has definitely out performed Mercer there and I think that trend is sustainable both from a player and a team perspective. The dreaded +/- cat also favors Puli here significantly. Puli has played 259 NHL games, he's a big boy, I think there is a good chance that the breakout we have all been waiting for is just around the corner. Mercer is much harder to get a handle on, but the current indicators I have mentioned move the needle in Puli's favor for me.
