Tough one because both are just scratching the surface. Puljujarvi may be on L3 right now, but he's also been L1 many times. Mercer may have been L1 at the end of the year, but could also be up and down the lineup at any time himself. I dont think either guy is a game breaker but I can appreciate why you're struggling here.
I assume this is #20 for your keepers. Do you have any others that are on the fringe for keepers?

We don't have much of a sample size to work with here, a bit of a glimpse with Puli and less with Mercer, so you have to take the numbers in stride with that in mind. That said, I'm leaning toward Puli here. As you said, draft pedigree is there, less for Mercer. I think it's fair to say that if both of these guys hit their potential, Puli is the better own. That "if" is not a given however. I also think Puli is a better fit with your scoring cats, at least currently, and I'm banking on into the future. PP production is a key for you and Puli has definitely out performed Mercer there and I think that trend is sustainable both from a player and a team perspective. The dreaded +/- cat also favors Puli here significantly. Puli has played 259 NHL games, he's a big boy, I think there is a good chance that the breakout we have all been waiting for is just around the corner. Mercer is much harder to get a handle on, but the current indicators I have mentioned move the needle in Puli's favor for me.

Hard one but one think for sure… Mercer will not be on line 1 when everybody is healthy… they also getting Holtz next year and I believe they draft Sllafkovsky to booster wings even more. While Slafkovsky or anybody drafted in that 2 slot may not impact Mercer next year, it will down the road

I have 4 picks all in the 1st round (2 of these will be dmen).
I have Sharan penciled in as a keeper as my LW is THIN with only 2. I have tried multiple times to move a pair of C for a good LW with no luck just yet.
Based on my other thread Geo and Dostal are likely gone as well leaving me with one of Pulj or Mercer left as cuts.

was doing a search on Slafkovsky and this popped up..still taking all opinions on this one.
same guys still involved, need to cut three, but not for a while yet so i have the draft, and FA to get through, as well as all summer so alot could change with these characters
