If it is points only, Zegras could very well be at or close to Eichel. I don't like Denisenko, but others do. How top 10 is that 2023 pick? If it is top 3, then Zegras side by a mile. Top 5, less confident. If we're talking about pick 8 or 9, then it isn't enough to move the needle. I wouldn't seek to get Glass or Turcotte, both are trending downward. I like Konovalov, but a goalie prospect shouldn't form a substantial part of a deal unless you're in the no-doubter tier (and even then...)

I like the thinking but I think I'd want more assets on the Zegras side to make the deal.

Considering that i dont like Denisenko and that pick is a crap shoot at best im assuming...its Zegras vs Eichel...i think points only this could be a wash or even benefit Zegras...multi cat i still want Eichel.

Eichel has two seasons well above a ppg pace and was playing on the worst team in the league.

It's crazy anyone can say Zegras is close or maybe better long term. Eichel side is what you want. There might be a 10% chance Zegras ends up being better, but I'd take the 90% odds on this one. Denisenko is likely nothing.

Eichel had 56 Points in his first 81 Games - Zegras has 54 Points in his first 74 Games - This is by no means worse than what Eichel accomplished and the ducks are not that much better as the sabres. Points-wise i could see this beeing a tie. There have always been injury concerns with Eichel... it´s not a bad offer IMO - i´d gamble on konovalov as i don´t see a lot of upside in the other prospects.

If the pick ends up being top five it could be totally worth it. I think Zegras is a special talent

yup...this...i dont know how you can say zegras only produced 41 in 50....its his first season lol....took Eichel 4 to get to pace above ppg and it was not a crazy pace.....also current Anaheim team is worst then Buffalo was when Eichel joined them..by quite a margin too....

so this could go either way but saying Zegras has no chance to be as good as Eichel cause he is on pace for only around 60 points in first season...that is what is crazy...lol

I go with the Zegras side. To me, it won't be overly close. What you do with that pick, and what it turns into, could ultimately make this a slam dunk for you

Zegras, Konovalov, and the pick for me.

That pick should be tradable for a solid player right before the draft. Konovalov was my preferred goalie in his draft for the cost it took to grab him.
